Cookie Policy
The small files this site stores on your device.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. On the next request your browser sends it back, which is how a site can recognise that two requests came from the same person.
The short version
This site uses cookies to keep you signed in, to protect the forms you submit, and to credit the right person when you arrive through a referral link.
It does not use advertising cookies, and it does not track you across other websites.
Exactly which cookies are set
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
microjobs-session |
Keeps you signed in and remembers your session as you move between pages. Without it, you would be signed out on every click. | 2 hours of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects the forms you submit. It lets the site prove a request came from a page it served, which is what stops another site submitting a form as you. | Until you close your browser |
remember_web_... |
Set only if you tick Remember me when signing in, so you stay signed in after closing your browser. | Until you sign out |
mj_aff |
Set only if you arrive through somebody's referral link, so that person is credited if you later join. It holds a referral code and nothing else. | 30 days |
Which of these you can refuse
The first three are strictly necessary. They carry no information about you beyond your own session, and the site cannot work without them: refusing them means you cannot sign in.
The referral cookie is not necessary to use the site. Blocking it affects nobody but the person whose link you followed, who will not be credited.
Turning cookies off
Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking cookies for this site will sign you out and prevent you signing back in.
Cookies set by other companies
When you pay, you are sent to a payment provider to enter your card or bank details. That provider sets its own cookies on its own site, under its own policy. This site never sees your card details.
Changes
If the cookies this site sets ever change, this page changes with them.
