What is collected

When you register: your name, email address and password. The password is stored hashed and cannot be read back by anybody, including us.

When you use the platform: the jobs you post or complete, the orders you place, your wallet and transaction history, messages you send about an order, and the files you upload as proof of work.

When you verify your identity: the documents and details required to confirm who you are, and your bank details so you can be paid.

Automatically: your IP address and basic information about your browser, kept to detect fraud and to keep accounts secure.

Why it is collected

To run the platform: to match work, move money, settle disputes, pay people, and stop fraud.

Identity and bank details are collected because money is being moved. They are used to confirm you are who you say you are and that payments reach the right person.

Who it is shared with

Other members see only what your profile is set to show, plus what is necessary to work with you on a job or an order.

It is shared with the payment provider handling your deposits and withdrawals, and with any service used to confirm identity or bank details. It is not sold, and it is not shared for advertising.

It may be disclosed where the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Account information is kept while your account is open. Records of money moved are kept longer, because they have to be: financial records must be retained even after an account closes.

Proof files attached to work are kept while a dispute over that work is still possible.

Your choices

You can see and change most of your information from your profile at any time. You can ask for your account to be closed. You can ask what is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected.

Some information cannot be deleted on request, because keeping it is a legal obligation or is needed to settle money still in progress.

Security

Passwords are hashed. Payment credentials and other sensitive values are encrypted. Access to member information is limited to those who need it to run the platform.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, you will be told.
